Nine Patch Tips:

  • Strip piecing is faster: sew A-B-A and B-A-B strip sets, then sub-cut into rows
  • For disappearing nine patch: make the nine patch first, then cut through the center horizontally and vertically
  • Nine patch blocks must be divisible by 3 — common sizes: 6", 9", 12", 15"
  • Press seams toward the darker fabric, alternating row directions for easy nesting
