T-Shirt Quilt Tips:
- Always use fusible interfacing (like Pellon SF101) on the back of each t-shirt square — knit fabric stretches too much without it
- Apply interfacing BEFORE cutting to final size for more accurate squares
- Use a walking foot when sewing to prevent stretching
- Sashing between blocks gives a cleaner look and makes it easier to work with slightly different-sized designs
- Don't have enough shirts? Use coordinating fabric for filler blocks
- Fleece or minky makes a great back for t-shirt quilts — no batting needed!
